We strive to align with those who inspire and the playful drive of Katie Miller of Mama Bijoux is no exception.


We had an amazing time setting our communal table, under the stars & drinking the cool autumn air, with the fashionable + inspiring  Mama Bijoux , a brilliant third generation jeweler whose atelier is steps above the gorgeous courtyard of Paseo 17 in East Side Costa Mesa.  

A little kitsch harkens back to the days our grandmothers who were the underlying muse for this lark.

Grateful to all who joined us for welcome drinks & mingling, became inspired by Mama Bijoux’s elevated style + designs, enjoyed an amazing chef crafted meal and, best of all, partook in the (rediscovered) art of conversation.

LARK x THE SALT HORSE x CHEF NATASHA RETA

We had the most adventurous lark at well curated + sustainable grocer known as The Salt Horse  in Laguna Beach.

The layers of culinary provisions to this inspiring farmhouse-meets-inner chef space were absolutely inspiriting and perfect for our pivot (our chef’s car was stolen just hours before the lark and was filled with EVERYTHING to create this four-course meal).

Luckily the wine was stored separately and Coco’s Cocktail Caravan was a bright spot that kicked off the evening with beautiful + delicious hand crafted margaritas.

We were (so!) excited to set our communal table with super fun + hip designer Laura Brophy at her eponymous studio @laurabrophyinteriors located next door to the salty vibes of @toesonthenose in West Side Costa Mesa.

Here we gathered around the communal table to share an amazing chef crafted meal + wine pairing all while partaking in the {rediscovered} art of conversation.

It’s has been a long cold winter and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to warm things up at the gorgeous atelier of Isles Interiors in Newport Beach!

This was our third lark with owners Max + Maria Isles and it was the perfect mix of food, wine, conversation + design.

LARK x COSTA CABANA x CHEF KYLE POWERS

Super fun (& delicious) times on a lark at Costa Cabana in East Side Costa Mesa!

We had a super fun + intimate gathering at the 1930’s farm house turned fashion house of Costa Cabana in East Side Costa Mesa.

In this gorgeous inspired space we enjoyed welcome drinks + mingling leading up to an amazing chef crafted dining experience…all while partaking in the {rediscovered} art of conversation.

It was fun to discover, even after all these larks (this was #51), things about our crew we hadn’t known such as who was once Prom Queen and who once served as a bartender in San Francisco. Amongst our guests, we heard stories about boating and beautiful memories of Catalina, the dreams + inspirations of a coffee house entrepreneurs and a few larks of their own. Of course we talked fashion and took in all the stylish vibes thanks to the awesome eye of Lauren Flores.

We loved setting our communal table at the coolest vintage and mid century modern source for  “design lovers” known as Urban Americana  in East Long Beach.

Kicking off the holiday off weekend, we perused their well curated and inspirational offerings, shared an amazing chef crafted meal & wine pairing — and practiced the {rediscovered} art of conversation.

What’s next: Semi-pickled garden salad. Cucumber, shallots, heirloom tomatoes, fennel, black olives, feta, partially pickled in lemon herb vinaigrette atop fresh baby spinach.

Get up, it’s time for… brunch?: French toast sticks, buttery bacon date syrup, whipped cream, fresh fruit, mint sprig. Champagne.

We loved setting our communal table at Tania Cassill’s inviting atelier known as huit – the circa 1938 cottage had the best vibes – and the courtyard provided a great place to greet out guests. We took some time to mingle and watch the talented Kyle Powers prep for what became the most amazing meal.  We ventured inside, took our seats and the rest – the rest – remains in small world connections, laughter and non-stop conversation.

This winter we were fortunate to dine with friends – old and new – soaking up the hip vibes at the beautifully understated and modern aesthetic of Isles Interiors in Newport Beach while enjoying conversation between spoonfuls of piping hot Mortadella Lobster Chowder crafted by the talented Chef Kyle Powers.

Our first fall adventure found us enjoying the natural, well edited, minimalist aesthetic of Maia’s Cottage in Laguna Beach.
